"Whole-leaf" means the bag is filled with relatively intact, clearly visible tea leaves rather than mostly broken, dust-grade tea. Quality whole leaves in a roomy pyramid bag can unfurl fully as they brew, so a convenient tea bag still keeps the aroma and flavor of loose-leaf tea.

Mainly the way you brew it. Loose-leaf tea needs a teapot and tea tools; a tea bag goes straight into your cup — simple and convenient. A clear pyramid bag also lets you watch the leaves open and the liquor develop.

Each bag is made from food-grade corn fiber in a clear, three-dimensional pyramid shape — clean and hygienic, and it lets the aroma and flavor release fully. You can also watch the leaves unfurl and the liquor change as it brews, which adds to the pleasure of making and tasting the tea.

If you like a mellow, mature tea character, choose Pu-erh or Liu Bao. For something fresh and crisp, choose green tea. For a rich aroma and a liquor with body, choose Shui Xian. For a warm, sweet fragrance, choose black tea. For ginger or floral notes, choose ginger black tea or Ju Pu (chrysanthemum pu-erh). To try a flavor unlike traditional tea leaves, choose Jin Qian Liu (sweet-tea leaf).

Put the bag in your cup, pour fresh boiling water over it, and steep for about 3–5 minutes, adjusting the strength to taste. For a stronger cup, steep longer; for a lighter one, take the bag out sooner. Once you remove the bag the tea is ready to drink, and you can re-steep it.

It can be brewed several times. After the first infusion, add more water and adjust the steeping time to your taste.

For one person: one tea bag in a 150 ml cup. To share: about four tea bags in a 400 ml teapot. Adjust the amount to the strength you prefer.

Whole-leaf tea bags work well for iced tea too. Because ice dilutes the liquor, brew the tea a little stronger first, then add ice or cold water and adjust to the strength you like.

A gallon is about 3.8 liters, which takes roughly 8–10 tea bags. Steep them in about 1 liter of hot water for a few minutes, then add cold water and ice to reach about 3.8 liters, adjusting the strength to taste.

Stored too long, tea naturally loses aroma and flavor. Keep the bags sealed, somewhere dry, dark, cool, and free of strong odors. We recommend drinking them by the best-before date on the pack, and finishing an opened pack sooner rather than later so the tea tastes its best.
