Return and Refund Policy
Return Window
You may request a return within 7 days of the delivery date, based on the official PosLaju / courier tracking information. After 7 days, all sales are considered final and are not eligible for return.
Refund Method
All approved returns are refunded as store credit. Store credit:
- does not expire,
- can be used on any future order at chazhijitea.com.my, and
- is issued for product value only (shipping fees are not refundable).
Non-Returnable Items
Due to hygiene, safety, and collectible value, the following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Opened or used tea products
- Used teaware (teapots, kettles, cups, pitchers, filters, etc.)
- Antique & vintage teaware
- One-of-a-kind handmade or artisan teaware
- Individual loose teacups
- Gift cards
- Free gifts, samples, or promotional items
- Items marked as “final sale”
Handmade teaware—including Yixing teapots, wood-fired ceramics, and artisan cups—may naturally include firing marks, clay variations, texture differences, and glaze spots. These characteristics are not defects and are not eligible for return.
Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is confirmed defective or incorrect.
- We strongly recommend an insured, trackable courier service.
- Cha Zhi Ji is not responsible for parcels lost or damaged during return transit.
If the item is confirmed defective or was shipped incorrectly, we will cover the return shipping cost and send a replacement at no additional charge.
Damaged or Defective Items
Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If any item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours with clear photos or videos showing the issue.
Once confirmed, we will:
- arrange replacement, or
- offer store credit if a replacement is unavailable, and
- cover return shipping for defective items.
Cases Not Eligible for Refund or Replacement
The following situations are not eligible for refund, replacement, or store credit:
- COSMETIC variations in handmade teaware (firing marks, natural textures, glaze differences)
- Tracking shows “Delivered” but the parcel cannot be located
- Incorrect, incomplete, or invalid address provided at checkout
- Failure to collect / repeated delivery attempts unsuccessful
- Damage caused by improper use, cleaning, or storage
- Delayed delivery caused by courier volume or local routing
How to Start a Return
- Email support@store-chazhiji.com with:
- Your order number
- The item(s) you wish to return
- The reason for the return
- Photos or videos if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect
- Wait for our review and return instructions.
- Ship the item within 7 days after receiving approval.
- After inspection, store credit will be issued within 5 business days if the return meets all requirements.
